In English we use verb “Like” to show similarity

e.g.
Your shirt is like mine.
Her writing style is like a great artist.

We had seen before that “To like” in Gujarati is ગમવું (gamavuM). But for such type of sentences, we do NOT use this verb.

1) In Gujarati consider the word “like” or “similar” as the preposition “-ના જેવો(-nA jevo).

As we had seen before for such prepositions, forms of pronouns to be used are e.g. મારા ,તારા etc.
For such forms refer column named “For pronoun with ના(nA)” in the table mentioned in
Learn Prepositions in the Gujarati Language

Proper nouns are used as it is.

2) Unlike other prepositions word changes as per gender and multiplicity.

These forms follow “ઓ-ઈ-ઉં-આ-ઈ-આં” pattern discussed in lesson
ઓ-ઈ-ઉં-આ-ઈ-આં (o-I-uM-A-I-AM ) યો-ઈ-યું-યા-ઈ-યાં ( yo-I-yuM-yA-I-yAM ) rule

So forms are as follows. ( Singular & then plural (M.-F.-N.) )

જેવો-જેવી-જેવું-જેવા-જેવી-જેવાં (jevo-jevI-jevuM-jevA-jevI-jevAM)

3) Sentence structure is

SubjectForm of pronoun with whom
comparison is done
Form of જેવો(jevo) as per
gender and multiplicity of Subject
Form of હોવું (hovuM)
as per Subject
તું (tuM)મારા (mArA)જેવી(jevI)છે(Che)

You(boy) are like me -> તું મારા જેવો છે (tuM mArA jevo Che )
You(girl) are like me -> તું મારા જેવી છે (tuM mArA jevI Che )
I(boy) am like you-> હું તારા જેવો છું ( huM tArA jevo ChuM
I(girl) am like you-> હું તારા જેવી છું ( huM tArA jevI ChuM )
He(polite) is like Kaushik -> તેઓ કૌશિક જેવા છે (teo kaushik jevA Che)

As seen before, for feminine polite sentence; we use neuter-plural form. So,

She(polite) is like Kaushik -> તેઓ કૌશિક જેવાં છે (teo kaushik jevAM Che)
This movie is like old movies-> આ સિનેમા જૂનાં સિનેમાં જેવું છે (A sinemA jUnAM sinemAM jevuM Che )

If we use

But here we use Form of pronoun/noun to indicate possession. Feminine singular form like મારી(mArI) ,તારી(tArI), કૌશિકની (kaushikanI ) etc.
For such forms refer lesson: Saying My/His/Her in Gujarati

Rest of the sentence structure will be created as required.

“Sing like me” or “Sing the way I am doing” -> મારી જેમ ગા (mArA jem gA)
She lives simple life like you -> એ તારી જેમ સરળ જીવન જીવે છે (e tArI jem saraL jIvan jIve Che )
Rates will reduce in Delhi like Mumbai -> મુંબઈની જેમ દિલ્હીમાં ભાવ ઘટશે (muMbaInI jem dilhImAM paN bhAv ghaTashe)
