https://learnmarathiwithkaushik.com/courses/using-verb-to-want-in-gujarati/

We can use “want” along with other verb to indicate desire for some activity.
e.g. I want to watch this movie.
She wanted to eat burger.
She wants to visit doctor.

In Gujarati sentence formation is

Form of subject with preposition "To".
For first and second persons, different forms are used.
objectMain verb + form of વો(vo) as per gender and multiplicity of objectform of “હોવું”(hovuM) as per object and tense
મારે (mAre )કેરી(kerI)ખાવી (khAvI )હતી (hatI )

For first and second persons, different forms are used which we have studied in lesson of “To Want
i.e. https://learnmarathiwithkaushik.com/courses/using-verb-to-want-in-gujarati/

As you would have guessed, form of વો(vo) are

Masculine singularવો (vo)
Feminine Singular/ Pluralવી (vI)
Neuter Singularવું (vuM)
Masculine pluralવા (vA)
Neuter pluralવાં (vAM)

So these forms follow the pattern discussed in lesson
ઓ-ઈ-ઉં-આ-ઈ-આં (o-I-uM-A-I-AM ) યો-ઈ-યું-યા-ઈ-યાં ( yo-I-yuM-yA-I-yAM ) rule

I want to eat mango -> મારે કેરી ખાવી છે (mAre kerI khAvI Che )
I want to eat mangoes -> મારે કેરીઓ ખાવી છે (mAre kerIo khAvI Che)

You(plural) want to eat a fruit -> તમારે ફળ ખાવું છે (tamAre phaL khAvuM Che)
You(plural) want to eat fruits -> તમારે ફળો ખાવાં છે (tamAre phaLo khAvAM Che)

He want to see a picture -> એને ચિત્ર જોવું છે (ene chitr jovuM Che)
He wanted to see a picture -> એને ચિત્ર જોવું હતું (ene chitr jovuM hatuM)

You wanted to say a story -> તારે કથા કહેવી હતી (tane kathA kahevI hatI )

If object is unknown then we will use વું (vuM)
e.g.
What do you want to eat ? -> તારે શું ખાવું છે (tAre shuM khAvuM Che)
What do you want to do ? -> તારે શું કરવું છે (tAre shuM karavuM Che)

For અકર્મક verb ( i.e. the verb that does not require noun) form will always be be વું (vuM)
I want to run -> મારે દોડવું છે (mane doDavuM Che)
We want to laugh -> અમારે/આપણે હસવું છે (amAre/ApaNE hasavuM Che)

Similarly negative sentences will be formed using previously seen rules

I do not want to eat mango -> મારે કેરી નથી ખાવી (mAre kerI nathI khAvI )

He does not want to see a picture -> એને ચિત્ર નથી જોવું (ene chitr nathI jovuM )
He did not want to see a picture -> એને ચિત્ર જોવું નહોતું (ene chitr jovuM nahotuM)

You did not want to say a story -> તારે કથા કહેવી નહોતી (tAre kathA kahevI nahotI)
