Fruits like करवंद(karavaMd) may not have an English name because it does not grow in England. Similarly “Dragon fruit”, “Kiwi” may not have Marathi name because it did not grow in Maharashtra. It is a recent addition to the fruit market of India. So those fruits are called by same in name in Marathi as well. There will be some botanical/technical name but that is not used in day-to-day conversation.
Fruits which retain their non-Marathi name in Marathi
Dragon fruit, Kiwi, Avacado, Blueberry, Blackberry
