In the previous lesson, we studied the verb “To know”.
There is a phrase using this verb i.e “To come to know”.
e.g.
“I came to know that he is not well”, “He came to know that school is closed today”

In Gujarati corresponding phrase is “ખબર પડી”(khabar paDI)
ખબર is the feminine-singular word.
Sentence structure is:

Form of noun with
preposition "To"
Form of noun
(which is known)
indicating relation
e.g.
મારી(mArI),એની (enI)
ખબર (khabar) Form of verb
પડવું ( paDavuM) as per tense and feminine-singular
e.g.
પડી (paDI ) / પડે છે ( paDe Che ) /પડશે ( paDashe ) etc.

So we will directly take few examples:

She came to know the news:- એને આ સમાચારની ખબર પડી ( ene A samAchAranI khabar paDI )
They will come to know your mistakes :- તેમને તમારા ભૂલોની ખબર પડશે ( temane tamArA bhUlonI khabar paDashe )
Did you come to know? :- તને ખબર પડી ? (tane khabar paDI)
She does not come to know:- તેને ખબર નથી પડતી ( tene khabar nathI paDatI )
He will not come to know this:- એને ખબર પડશે નહિં ( ene khabar paDashe nahiM )
I came to know that he is not well -> મને ખબર પડી કે એ માંદો પડ્યો છે (mane khabar paDI ke e mAMdo paDyo Che )
He came to know that school is closed today -> એને ખબર પડી કે આજ નિશાળ બંદ છે ( ene khabar paDI ke Aj nishAL baMd Che )
